November 16th - Workshop:

There will be a felting workshop and remaking clothes workshop on Thursday, November 16th from 5:30 - 7:30pm at OFFCenter. The workshop is free and all materials will be furnished.

December 1st - Upcoming Show:

"What I Like About Me"

Artwork by fostercare children who are waiting to be adopted. Also showing artwork by community members supporting the children who are waiting. The show is sponsored by Adoption Exchange, New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department, and teejexposed.com

Opening: December 1st, 5-8p.m. at OFFCenter.

December 2nd - Monte Vista Elementary School Mercado

OFFCenter artists will have a booth at Monte Vista Elementary School Mercado from 10am - 4pm. Please drop by for that exceptionally fun event. Click HERE for map and directions.

December 7th - Movie night at OFFCenter:

"Documentary on Pablo Picasso" with actual footage of Picasso painting. Movie starts at 6:30. Come share a warm cup of coffee, be with friends, and be inspired by a great artist! Join us!

December 13th - Gift making party at OFFCenter!

We'll have lots of supplies available and plenty of creative ideas. There's nothing like giving gifts that you've made! Come share the spirit and be creative. It's more fun when you have people around to make things with.

April 5 - Dudes Only workshops

"Dudes Only" workshops are happening on six consecutive Thursday evenings starting this week, April 5 from 6-8pm. Men will have the opportunity to come together in a community setting to make art with the medium of their choice. There is no cost, and it is open to anyone in the community. Please join this unique opportunity, dudes!

April 24 - Eugene Mosby

Tuesday, April 24 at 6pm, Eugene Mosby will speak about his journey of discovering art at OFFCenter. Eugene is originally from Baltimore and has been living in Albuquerque less than a year. He is homeless and has dedicated his life to a street ministry of helping others who are homeless. His journey of discovering his artwork has been amazing. He is a real joy to meet, and it will be wonderful to hear him speak about his work.

April 27 - Pushpinning the Limits

Our next fun show, "Pushpinning the Limits", opens April 27, 5-8pm. People can bring in artwork (no larger than 12"X14") that can be held up with a pushpin. This is a very spontaneous show and will be hung on the spot at the opening. Please plan to participate! You can sell work, trade work or just enjoy the event! But, no matter what, we want you there!!!

May 10 - Dudes Only Workshop

The last "Dudes Only Workshop" is this Thursday evening, May 10, from 6-8pm. An opportunity for men to come together and work on artwork in a medium of their choice. There is no charge! Please check it out if you are a dude!

May 30 to July 11 - Dudes Only Workshop

The "Dudes Only Workshop" continues on Wednesdays for another six weeks. An opportunity for men to come together and work on artwork in a medium of their choice. There is no charge! Check it out if you are a dude! No meeting on July 4th.

May 12 - Albuquirky House Tour

Our second annual Albuquirky House Tour will take place May 12 from 1-4pm. It's a wonderful opportunity to see the inside of many fabulous and unusual houses, and they are extra special this year. The houses: a well-known tiled house in the NorthValley near Montano and 4th Street; an older home in Spruce Park that is filled with an ecclectic collection of wonderful art; an artist's funky and creative home in Huning Highland. Please call OFFCenter at 247-1172 with questions or come in to purchase tickets. Tickets: $30 for all three houses.

May 20 - Shrine Making Workshop

Back by popular demand! We will have our second "Shrine Making Workshop" on Sunday, May 20 from 10 - 12am at OFFCenter. This is a follow-up to our much-enjoyed workshop that was part of our NEA funded "Virgin of Guadalupe Conference." Please put this on your calendars and join us for another special time. Supplies will be furnished, but any donations of funky supplies are always welcomed.

August 11 - "We Art the People" Folk Art Festival

We're already gearing up for our 4th annual "We Art the People" Folk Art Festival which will be held August 11 in Robison Park from 11am until 4pm. This is a wonderful event that is fun for the entire family: free art projects for kids of all ages, live music and entertainment, 100 folk art vendors, food vendors, etc. We will be announcing free workshops that happen before the festival.
