Slow Stitching is an intuitive craft layering fabrics, fibers, trims and embellishments with hand stitching in a meditative way that reflects your unique creative process and style. From cozy cottage to edgy modern, this fun technique is versatile enough for every individual.
This introductory class will cover all the basics you need to get started with Slow Stitching and introduce different methods for choosing materials, composing on a foundation and joining everything together with decorative hand stitching.
If you are comfortable with needle and thread and enjoy playing with fabrics and embellishments (think beads, buttons, charms, glass, metal) this is the class for you!
Materials provided. If you have a favorite hand sewing or embroidery needle and/or thimble, or other materials you'd like to incorporate, you're welcome to bring them.
Recommended skills: Comfortable using a needle and thread for basic stitches.
