Join Alden, OffCenter’s resident sewing facilitator, and come make yourself a pair of PJ shorts for wearing to bed or lounging around the house. In this 2-session class you will learn how to use a sewing pattern, and some basics of garment construction.
This class requires basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine. If you don’t already know how to use a sewing machine, please take the July Learn to Sew: Sewing Machine 101 and either the Sewing 102: Tote Bag Class or Sewing 201: Apron Making Workshop before taking this class.
Materials: You will need 1 3/4 yards of pre-washed and dried woven fabric (quilting cotton and flannel are both great choices!), and 1 1/4 yard of 1 inch wide elastic. (Come check out OffCenter’s fabric supply before the class to see if there’s a fabric you’d like to use.) Bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours!
This class, is perfect for you if you know the basics of how to use a sewing machine, but want to learn how to sew clothing and make a garment that fits!
