Teacher bio:  Alicia (ze, hir, hirs) started sewing at about age 6 with hir Gramma and has sewn intermittently throughout life. Ze returned to fiber art in 2025 upon discovering OffCenter, as part of AuDHD burnout recovery. Alicia launched Good Enough Stuff, a 100% upcycled materials accessories brand in 2026 with the mission to uplift, empower, and employ queer and disabled artists, while diverting good enough materials from the landfill.

All materials provided. Basic sewing machine experience required.

This class is designed for ages 12 and up. Students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Refund Policy: All of our classes have limited capacity and often sell out. Please let us know if you are unable to attend a class you’ve registered for so we can open up the spot for someone else. If you would like a refund for your class registration fee, you must let us know at least 48 hours ahead of the class start time. Cancellations received within 48 hours or less of class start times are not eligible for refunds, but your class fee can be transferred to a future class registration instead. If you have questions about your class registration, or to request a refund or class transfer, please call, email, or talk to staff in person at OffCenter during Open Studio hours.

Why are there multiple prices? All of our classes are offered at a sliding scale, with a free option available to anyone that requests it. When possible, we make the base option available in order to partly cover the cost of the class. The core price is the "true" cost of the class OffCenter needs to cover paying our teachers and providing supplies and materials. If you are able to support at a higher level, paying the supporter price helps ensure we're able to continue offering a variety of classes and keep free spaces open for anyone that needs.

There are a limited number of free spots available online. If these are sold out, please email, call, or drop by the studio to sign up! Email info@offcenterarts.org.
